
Conor O'Kelly BComm, FCA, MSc. has been involved with XBRL since soon after its inception in 1999. He has served two terms as Vice Chairman of XBRL International, the world wide consortium of over 650 banking and accounting regulators, capital market and securities regulators ,software houses, stock exchanges, CPA firms and governments agencies developing the XBRL electronic financial reporting standard.
He has served several terms on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of XBRL International between 2004 and 2009. He is the past Chair of XBRL Europe and XBRL Ireland and represents Ireland on the International Steering Committee of XBRL International. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland with an Master of Science Degree in Information Technology Management .
Mr. O'Kelly is a past member of Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland which oversees the governance and regulation of the accounting profession in Ireland and has served as Chair of the Information Technology Services Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
He has twelve years background in global IT managed services, global project management and strategic IT business planning in both Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) and Hewlett Packard Corp. (NYSE: HPQ)
